The 15th FoodTech Kerala Expo 2024 at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Kochi, Kerala featured innovations like ‘The Greenmeat’, a plant-based meat alternative by Kochi-based Greenovative Foods Pvt Ltd. The company works on alternate and sustainable sources of food, especially proteins. The aim is to address the lack of protein in regular diet of most Indians. Their product which looks, tastes, feels and smells like animal-based meat are vegan and 100% plant-based. Their products, made from pea and soy proteins, are trans-fat and cholesterol-free. The expo highlighted the latest trends in food technology with over 60 exhibitors.<\/p>\n
